Comments
Comments: Parking in front of farm adds another 0.8 miles to trailhead. Nobody had been on trail since last storm. Snow was soft, and trail was hard to find at times. Twice the trail just disappeared. I almost gave up once but I found it. It’s not pretty in sections but it will get you to the col. I had no problems getting to the summit from there. Sunny and blue skies looking east, but gray & dark looking west. Spitting snow on me the whole hike. Going down the snow softened up more and I punched thru several times wearing snowshoes. I put a stick standing up at one snowshoe posthole that I went to my hip. Trail needs a group of snowshoes to really pack it down nice. Don’t even attempt this hike without snowshoes.... you’ll never make it.
