| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We were able to park at the junction of Elephant Mountain Road and the road that goes to the summer trailhead. The road was plowed and and we shoveled out some space so we could park close (partially in) the snowbank on the side of the road. When we got back the road had been freshly placed and the there was a snow berm blocking us in. We were able to shovel ourselves out pretty easily. |

| Comments: |
Did this one with a rather large group - Erik, Amal, Chris, Doug, Ken, Lynn, Mark, Mike H, Mike K, and Tabitha. There was one person (Ryan) who went out ahead of us solo who we met up with just below the summit. The road to the summer trailhead was a lot firmer than I expected - there were plenty of spots where it felt like I was walking on a tile floor. Once we left the summer trailhead the snow got a lot deeper and softer. Erik and Mark laid out a great route that brought us up north to the col and then west to the summit. We spend most of the day in "fairly" open woods - there was only one short section where it felt like an actual bushwhack. The last entry in the summit log was from October. |
