We and a coulpe others broke trail to the peak and back with crampons while I went with snowshoes, so trail now well groomed. Cold night tonight should set Peak trail up for great hikes tomorrow & beyond. Also met a dad heading up Sue's Trail to overnight in the Yurt with snowshoes, was to join with sonswho were skiing Shawnee, will stsy the night. How cool!
I used snowshoes from parking lot to peak and back down again, so trail now well groomed and mostly firm. Ann used crampons the whole way, as did two hikers ahead of us. |
