Comments: My wife and I left the gate about 8:30AM. There was an easy walk on snowmobile tracks to Brickett Place and about 6" of snow up the start of the Bickford Brook Trail to the Blueberry Ridge Trail sign. There was more snow for the .5 climb to Blueberry Mt. but too much rock for my large snowshoes so we stayed in microspikes. We switched to snowshoes at the outlook loop sign but opted to stay straight on the Blueberry Ridge Trail. A foot and a half to two feet of snow with a bit less on the open ledges was on the ridge trail. Fantastic views! Bright blue sky! Slow snowshoeing. Made it out to Bickford Brook Trail and no one had been through. Due to the slow going we opted to head down without doing the .5 mile to the Speckled summit. S L O W going due to all the bent over evergreens on the Bickford Brook Trail. The snow stayed deep and we stayed in snowshoes until the Bickford Slides Loop were we were thankful for less snow and snowshoe tracks. We pulled off the snowshoes and boogied down the final stretch. Great day and will I certainly do it again soon - I have to benefit from cutting the trail with snowshoes :)
