Multiple blow downs. The worst two are close to the trailhead at Moose Mountain Inn. Around, over, or under is pretty obvious now. Be careful of spruce traps with around. We found a few. |

| Comments: |
We were surprised to find a well packed snowshoe trail almost all the way to the top. This ended at the final steep pitch before the summit. We broke trail for the final bit. Magoo did that final pitch without an ice axe, and worked hard with a fair amount of slipping. I used the ice axe and had a much easier time. Ice axe not required by any means, but makes it easier. There were a few rocks and ledges that had melted through, but they were easy to step over. Although the trail was consolidated, bareboots would likely leave many postholes. |
