The trail is exactly what you'd expect in mid-fall, a mixture of mud, ice, running water and wet, slippery leaves. Was able to go up Eyebrow loop and Old Speck trails without any traction. Used microspikes on the way down and they helped significantly on the ice/mud/leave/slush combinations. Nothing to be scared of as long as you have spikes. |
