Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: We cut out a few blowdowns, but about half a dozen remain on the Firewardens Trail. Some of the upper staircases on the trail are solid, but some of the lower ones have been breached and/or have trailcreep. The cover to the boxspring on Avery has been smashed.

Lost and Found
Lost and Found: I recollect a baseball cap hanging on a sign at the lower campsite, as well as one in the foundation atop Avery.

Comments
Comments: Trails were generally dry, with the exception of some of the steeps on Firewardens Trail, and on the range. Some of the Firewardens Trail steeps had water running down them, making for mud and wet slabs. Some wet rock on the Bigelow Range Trail as well, below treeline.

Weather forecast was botched, as NOAA's mostly sunny forecast never panned out. Fortunately the summits cleared, so we had good views.

Apart from a bunch of folks descending from the camp sites, the trails were pretty quiet; we even had West Peak to ourselves (find an NH 4K above treeline peak like that on a weekend).

Some really strong foliage colors, especially just below the range, as well as on the slopes of a few nearby mountains. Not yet peak, but very nice.
