Comments
Comments: Superlative weather after a week of wet. The trail had some mud here and there, but it wasn't deep, or it had stepping stones or bog bridging. Otherwise, the trail was dry, clean, and clear. The waterfall in the lower section was moving some water, so those interested in refilling their supply won't have to wait for a thin trickle.

The view from the summit was fantastic, with an easy view of Umbagog lake. Lots of hikers doing the Grafton Loop, and a lot of AT hikers, NOBO, SOBO, and flip-flop of various flavors. (Come to think about it, the one I didn't meet was a section hiker.) Reports from them were that the nearby trails were in good shape overall.
