Water Crossing Notes: Had to put on water shoes to cross Porter Brook at Porter Brook Rd. where the bridge is gone. Not wide, or deep, but no rocks to hop close by. We just changed our shoes on the other side and left them for the return.

Comments
Comments: Lots of bumpy driving to get to Porter Brook Rd. at the point of Porter Brook. Crossed Porter Brook and walked Porter Brook Road to it's end. From there we followed an old skidder road, and clear-cut to the Border Swath. We emerged on the swath just below ME3K 3510 (Monument 414 Peak). From there it was 2+ miles to Boundary Peak. Great foot bed for the most part on this section of boundary swath but one hell of a P.U.D. fest. Elevation loss and gain out and back was very significant. Still, and awesome day. Decent views and 4 moose sightings.
