I think I saw 2 blackflies today. Recent experience has been very buggy on trails, so we sprayed before leaving the parking lot, but it was cooler today and windy near the top so bugs weren't an issue. |

Climbed trail from Rt 26/AT crossing parking lot. Stayed on white-blazed AT until the last .3 mile where we turned left onto a blue-blazed trail to the summit. The trail was wet most of the way and muddy in spots - sometimes heavily. Water crossings were easily rock-hopped. The summit was in clouds which resulted in no views today. We did not attempt the tower (although other parties did) today due to it being very windy and cold at the summit. |
