Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: NEW TRAILHEAD: The sign at the usual trailhead, 100 yds in on the logging road, has been removed. The new trailhead is about 500 yds further down the logging road (Carlo Col Trail). The old trailhead sign is now head high on a new wood post several feet away from the woodland border. You can't miss it. From the fresh wood chips, this relocation looks like it was done in the last week or two. This new section eliminates the wet area before the first stream crossing.

Comments
Comments: We headed in from the "old" trailhead, as there's no notice there or at the parking lot of the new trail section. Just before the first stream crossing, several branches have been laid across the trail, and the new trail comes in from the right. Trail was generally dry, with wet/muddy areas under the leaves, in places. The summit slabs were dry but the ledgy section below the slabs was quite icy, yet doable without traction by careful footwork on the margins. Returning across the first stream, the obvious new trail section quickly takes you to the logging road.
