Comments
Comments: Looks like route was snowshoed, then barebooted, with resultant frozen divots and postholes making for sometimes tedious walking and careful foot placement. We carried snowshoes, but 'spikes were the way to go given the trail conditions. What this trail needs is a good 12" of snow. ;p

No tracks going toward Speck Pond. Took a few steps that direction. There is a thin icy crust over 8-10" loose granular. Bring snowshoes!
