| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parking at RT 16 railroad trestle may be better option for Mahoosuc Tr start. Hogan Rd is very narrow and I didn't see obvious parking spot |
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Ice - Blue, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
No problems |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A couple of bad bog bridges, especially between East and North Goose Eye. The mud is very deep and almost avoidable at a couple spots. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Mahoosuc Notch would be tough on dogs |
| Bugs: |
Below freezing at elevation and at night so not a single bug |
| Lost and Found: |
There was a discarded water filter at jct to Gentian Pond. I'm not sure if it worked but it looked as though it was flung. |

| Comments: |
Leaves obscure trail at low elevations. Rime and a little snow cover higher elevations Bog bridges were snowy and slippery at elevation. Ice was forming at spots and made for tricky footing, particularly descending north from East Goose Eye. Other spots ice not obvious so use caution. All open summits had some ice. Mahoosuc Notch had least snow on entire trip. |
