Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: We took US 201 north from Jackman to Bald Mountain Road, then followed the hiking signs (Bald Mountain Road -> Notch Road). Bald Mountain Road is passable for most vehicles, however the short stretch of Notch Road may need to be handled with care. We continued up Trail Road for a ways (some deep water bars and some rock...high clearance needed), but then parked in a pullout prior to reaching the blue trail.

Comments
Comments: Lower portion of the Blue Trail from Trail Road had some areas of running water (trail is essentially a rocky ditch in this area), as well as some mudbogs. Upper portion had some slippery rock, but was otherwise dry. Also noted another blue blazed trail emerging on the summit ridge, signed for Notch Road.
Excellent views from the summit ridge, even with rain showers passing through.
