Comments
Comments: Circled the Hopper on a pretty day. Hopper Trail was nice, especially liked the upper reaches in the last half mile before A.T. junction. A.T. over Greylock to Fitch was beautiful. Both were a bit muddy in places above 2800' or so - probably leftover from the snows a couple weeks before. There were some big blowdowns on Old Summit and A.T. west of Notch Road. The Money Brook Trail, new for me, was the highlight of the day - the Hopper is marvelously beautiful, and I really enjoyed traipsing along the very pretty brook - would really like the falls in higher water, and they were nice even on this dry-as-a-bone day. The trail's a bit hard on the knees on descent, but in good shape.

In my last hour and change on trail, the clouds and rain started to move in. Very welcome.
