Comments
Comments: West Mountain road trail and Red Gate trail were packed by snowmobile's and very easy going. The A.T. was untouched! About 14-20" of fluffy snow made for slow going. There were 3 of us with snowshoes so by the time we had passed through the trail was well packed. We lost the trail numerous times due to difficulty way finding. The heavy snow bent the trees over and the trail was covered or blocked in many sections. Once we reached the summit we decided to head down the thunderbolt, which was in great shape for skiers! We stayed well off to the side so we didn't chew up the sweet surface. Bring your snowshoes!
