Comments
Comments: there was an inch or so of fresh snow on top of a few inches of older snow. below the frost line, microspikes were basically useless because the snow was too wet and kept gunking up in the spikes. I feel like snowshoes would have been helpful up near the summit because there was more snow and there were drifts where I post-holed a bit. I arrived in the lot at 9am with only 1 other car. Ran into a few more people on my descent. gorgeous hike and I will be back soon with my snowshoes!
