Comments
Comments: Pretty, maybe a little hot for some people (not me). Breeze kept bugs at bay. Mtn House is a rocky trail with a lot of nice hardwood trees. Spent a long time on the summit, nice koi pond (I would recommend the state make the signs a little bigger so parents notice and restrain young children from throwing rocks in. While it may be fun (and not just for kids) a stone could connect with one of the koi. Summit is wide open enough so that social distancing is manageable. Trees are getting taller, some of the views are obstructed, observation tower not open right now.

Took the Jack Frost Trail down. More solitude on this one and there is a flat area that goes through a beautiful evergreen section. Loved it! At the junction took the High Meadow. A nice bench looks across this meadow with its small orchard, actually the view is better here. Would have sat down to enjoy it, but this is where the ominous skies opened up! Trail reenters the woods and comes out at a pretty little pond, also with a nice bench. Took the gravel Echo Pond Road out to the road, from here it was a 5 minute walk back to the car. There is parking at the Echo Lake Gate, but very limited.
