Comments: Somewhat confusing, but a beautiful afternoon. Lovely walk through wetlands, patches of evergreens. We had the 2cd edition map from BTA; according to it, we were on the Bay Circuit Trail, but saw none of their blazes. We came to a junction which actually put us on it. On our way back, we noticed that the trail that was supposed to have been part of the BCT did have a few blazes on the way out. I am wondering if it had been rerouted. I am going to see if this wonderful organization has a third edition of their map. When we drove home, we stopped at the other parking area and saw that the BCT does come out that way. Maybe we'll go back today and check it out! By the time this virus is over, we may have section-hiked the northern part of the BCT.

Wildlife seen: two deer, a snake, a toad, plenty of birds. Gorgeous spring flowers, nice views of beaver ponds. There is a downed log near one of them, long enough to sit 6 feet away from your companions as you look out on the pond.

Thanks to BCT and BTA for these nice places!
