Peaks Watuppa Reservation, MA
Trails
Trails: Tattapanum Trail
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Wednesday, March 18, 2020
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: This is in Fall River. Park along the side of Wilson Road, just west of the causeway over the North Watuppa Pond. Park near the yellow gate but do not block it. There is a sign for the trail just west of the gate, and an interpretive sign at the place where the trail splits to form a loop. CAUTION: Wilson Road between the causeway and Riggenback Road uphill/W is in terrible shape with lots of big frost heaves and potholes. It is left this way intentionally to slow down traffic and discourage misuse of the land.

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The Watuppa Reservation takes good care of this public trail.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Fun short trail- enjoy.
Bugs
Bugs: Sign of spring: black flies were lazily flying around just above the surface of the ground without making any effort to fly up and bite. So it begins again.

Comments
Comments: This is a nice trail through the woods and it has a view of the big pond, which is the public water supply for Fall River. It is just over a mile long. The link below has a map, which is somewhat outdated (ie- the red pine died like virtually all of them have around here).
