Parking/Access Road Notes: Plenty of parking at the Visitor Center. The lot was almost empty although the Visitor Center was open.

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The trail blazes on Mountain House Trail are faint, causing some confusion about which direction the trail went. However, the trail does not make any sharp turns, so choosing the most straight path is usually correct.

Dog-Related Notes: We saw half a dozen dogs on the trail having a great time!

Comments: Ascended on Pine Hill Trail and descended via Mountain House and Bicentennial

Beautiful winter wonderland! The tree branches were coated in ice after the storm on Monday. The trails are covered in a few inches of snow, but there is not very much ice. We used microspikes for most of the hike. You could probably manage without them, but you would have to move more slowly.
