Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: I only crossed one significant stream, on Semuhenna, and it was hoppable
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails were in good shape. Blazing was OK but the color scheme does not match the description in the brochure. All this year, the upper section of the West side trail has had a few persistent puddles. Not sure if it's a just a wet year or if they are now a feature of that portion of the trail. The southern section of the semuhenna also featured a large mud puddle that I went into up to my ankle.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: I did not encounter any dogs.

Bugs: none

Comments
Comments: Bicentennial, upper Mountain House, upper Harrington, southern portion of Semuhenna, upper portions of West Side and Old Indian trails, Pine Hill trail.

I witnessed the sunrise as I was headed up the Loop trail / Mountain house trail. I summited at 7:20 and had the summit to myself for twenty minutes. On my first descent I finally stopped to check out Josti's Vista on the Harrington trail. It was well worth it. The West side trail between the semuhenna and the Old Indian was very wet/muddy (as per usual). After a second visit to the summit I headed down the Pine Hill trail. The stone work is amazing, it looks like some new rock was added. I stopped in to the visitor center, I didn't realize it was open year round (except holidays).
