| Water Crossing Notes: |
Lots and lots of water crossings, all technically rock-hop-able but ended up with wet feet because keeping them dry was too much effort. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Hancock notch trail has no blazes and is extremely difficult to follow. I lost the trail numerous times, mostly at water crossings and campsites with false trails, and had to wander back and forth until I came across the trail again. I was genuinely worried about getting lost but had to get back to my car. Towards the end of the trail I passed a guy heading the other way, and then he caught back up to me about an hour later, he couldn't follow the trail and decided to turn back. |

| Comments: |
This was day 3 of a 3-day hike, just had to get from my campsite near Sawyer Pond Rd back to my car at Hancock Notch Trailhead. I would not recommend the Hancock Notch Trail if you can avoid it. |
